3.4.1. Types of relative clause

Relative clauses in LSC are internally-headed. This means that the head noun is inside the relative clause.

                                             rel

       yesterday man come ix1 friend.

โ€˜The man that came yesterday is my friend.โ€™

The head noun may also precede the temporal adverb without affecting the meaning of the sentence.

       man yesterday come ix1 friend.

โ€˜The man that came yesterday is my friend.โ€™
