The movement of a sign may be of two types: i) path movement (also known as primary movement) or ii) articulator-internal movement (also known as secondary movement). The terminology used for the former type of movement might be a little misleading since signs may display only a secondary movement. In this section the different path and secondary movements that exist in LSC and their possible combinations are listed.
