Unlike tense, which is expressed through adverbials, LSC expresses aspect through a rich paradigm of different manual and non-manual morphemes. There are two main different types of aspect: imperfective and perfective. As shown in the following sections, among these two types different subtypes may be distinguished. All types of aspect are expressed via modification and repetition of the manual sign and also through non-manual markers.
