3.4. Relative clauses

Relative clauses have an adjectival function and therefore they modify a noun. The noun that is modified is called the โ€œheadโ€ of the noun phrase. In the next sections the main characteristics of relative clauses in LSC are presented, considering the type of the relative clause, the relativization sign, its position and optionality and the non-manual markers that occur in this kind of construction.
