3.5.1.6. Other conditional constructions
Some clauses that usually start with the manual sign for-example may have conditional reading. for-exampleis signed with the back of oneโs hand tipping twice the palm of the other hand. In cases with conditional reading, for-exampledenotes a discourse of exemplification. That means, the antecedent depicts an example and can be fulfilled or not. This โexampleโ is an affirmative idea/argument and has to be verified in the context.

โIf you play the card, for example, Iโm going to play the next card.โ
The sign for-example can also be accompanied with the typical conditional non-manuals as raised eyebrows, head or/and body movements.
