1.1.2. Orientation

Orientation of the hand is another feature that distinguishes meaning. Orientation refers to the direction that the hand is facing. For example, in the sign earthquake, the palms are facing down whereas in ıslamıc_memorıal_ceremony the hands are facing up as exemplified below:
