Native compounds are created without considering the lexical item of the spoken language counterpart, that is, they originate naturally within the sign language. In the classification of native compounds, we distinguish sequential and simultaneous compounds. Sequential compounds, in turn, may be classified according to their semantic or syntactic structure.
