Exocentric compounds do not allow to predict the compound meaning. Exocentric constructions are semantically unpredictable compounds, as in the following example.
eye^paper (‘medical outcome’)
(extracted from the corpus created in Villaécija, 2019)
In this case, the compound eye^paper is not compositional and does not give a clue about the intended meaning, which is ‘medical outcome’.
