4.3.2. Floating numerals
LSC is one of the languages that allow floating numerals. In these constructions, a numeralis separated from the rest of the noun phrase. For instance, in the example below the noun phrase is topicalized and the numeral is stranded at the end of the sentence after the verb. This type of construction is also found with quantifiers [PRAGMATICS 4.2].

‘I want five pens.’
However, LSC does not allow to topicalize the numeral on its own, as in the ill-formed *five i want pen.
If the noun phrase contains an adjective, it will accompany the noun rather than the stranded quantifier as shown in this example:

‘I want two black pens.’
