LSC basic word order is SOV [SYNTAX 2.3.1]. Sometimes, though, different factors make this basic word order change. Information structure notions such as focus and topic are some of the factors that can alter the basic word order. Moreover, different types of verbs and predicates can also influence the word order of LSC. This section offers an overview of the most common word order deviations in LSC.
