3.1.4.3.2. Scope of yes/no questions
Another test for coordination consists in checking if a question morpheme in polar questions [SYNTAX 1.2.1] can scope over them. In example (a) the clause-final morpheme right [SYNTAX 1.2.1.3]and in (b) the particle yes-no (y/n) [SYNTAX 1.2.1.3] scope over both conjuncts. Both (a) and (b) show that the two clauses are, indeed, coordinated.

In order to establish the presence of coordination in LSC it is therefore possible to look at the scope of yes/no questions.
